Mind, Body, & Pride Benefits and Privileges Kingman High School wants to put even more excitement into the educational process of our students. We are continuing with our program MIND, BODY, & PRIDE at KHS. Students who meet certain standards for each nine weeks receive a variety of benefits and privileges, which are listed below.
Choice Awards Program
Teachers will choose students who they feel performed to the best of their ability to their particular class. Special recognition will follow.
Eagle of the Month
One student a month from each grade will receive special recognition for achievement in academics, athletics, and activities. Possible rewards or recognition: Picture in display case and article/picture in the paper.
Perfect Attendance/Zero Tardies
Students with perfect attendance or zero tardies for a semester may receive a get-out-of-school for lunch pass.
Eagle Academic Honor Awards
- 3.5 - 4.0 students will receive 3 lunch period passes and area business discounts (if available).
- 3.0-3.49 students will receive 2 lunch period passes and area business discounts (if available).
- Students who improve their GPA .5 between 2.0 - 2.99 will receive one lunch period pass and business discounts (if available).
Finals Exemption
If a student has an A in an individual class and has had 3 or less excused absences in that class during the semester, he/she will be exempt from taking the class final.
Random Acts of Kindness
Teachers "catch students doing good" and reward them with a certificate for a reward in the office.
Eagle T-shirt Program
T-shirts are warded to those students who qualify for any state competition in athletics, music, forensics, Scholar's Bowl, post-season honors in AVCTL or state competition, Choice Award recipient, Eagle of the Month, Teacher of the Month, and qualifications for a state FFA competition.
We feel that these programs will motivate our students to an even higher level of achievement. Like the rest of us, students focus their efforts on things for which they receive recognition and rewards.
